This is a video compilation of photos I took at the game in Washington, DC. Brendan Shanahan, Chris Drury and Colton Orr were nice enough to come over and let me take some special close-ups. My favorite was the pose from Chris Drury. I asked him to move his head a little to the left, and voila…a close-up of those beautiful blue eyes.
Colton Orr had a huge shiner that night. He skated over to my left and stayed there the majority of the pre-game skate. After I finished taking a bunch of shots, it appeared that Mr. Orr didn’t want me taking pictures of that shiner. I don’t blame him, but I caught him earlier with the shiner. I also got a few shots of his scrap with Donald Brashear. I was sitting behind the Capitals penalty box, so I was shooting through two panes of glass. I had to make due with the limited visibility.
Another favorite photo I took was of Jaromir Jagr and Alexander Ovechkin talking, and the picture of Jaromir and Alex getting the “NO GOAL” call from the officials. It wasn’t the quality of the photo…it was the concept that I loved.
