It saddens me to hear that two amazing people were brutally murdered last night.
I first saw the Billings family on Oprah a few years ago. The Billings had 4 children and then decided to adopt 12 children (many of which have special needs). I couldn’t believe that anyone could have such a big heart. But most of all, what made this family so special was that they adopted children that no one else wanted.
You can’t help but think how amazing this world is to have people that will adopt kids that no one else wants just to give those kids an opportunity to have a family.
Now, their world has been turned upside down. They no longer will be able to have that family after their parents were found murdered in their home last night with several children still in the home (from infant to 11 years of age).
My heart goes out to the Billings family. I just pray that someone with a big enough heart will try to keep all of the kids together, because lord knows how hard it is to work with children with special needs.
